Termite: My Alief
townhouse started to develop problems. Our townhouse design was
typical, with 4 homes all built upon a common concrete slab, and
the home on the end was unoccupied and not well maintained. We
never bothered to have the home inspected before purchase. We
started to notice flaking paint and what appeared to be damaged
rotted wood within our first year of moving in. After a
professional inspection it was determined that my home had never
been treated, and was infested with Termites they migrated from
the other townhouse. The building contractor started removing
the outside siding and we observed the internal damage was far
more extensive than expected. All of the 2x4 structure was full
of holes like it was hit by hundreds of shotgun pellets. The
termite colony was large, easy to observe, and very active. It
is a miracle the entire roof did not fall down upon us. First
job was to kill the termite colony, and treat the whole
building. The more expensive task was to remove the damaged
structure. Several thousands of dollars later my home was
finally repaired and is now termite free thanks to Mr. Hartman
at Spring Branch Exterminators.
Caterpillars: We moved to
a new 3,700 square foot Perry home in Missouri City. Our first
spring we had an invasion of nasty black prickly caterpillars
larger than your thumb that completely cover both our trees in
the front of our home. We had hoped the birds in the area will
take care of this problem, but they would not eat these toxic
creatures. Within 2 days the whole front of our brick home was
covered. We are talking about millions of them that seemed to
just appear within 72 hours. Our brick was covered with these
nasty black things and the walls were alive much like you would
expect from a bad sci-fi movie. We were ready to go to a hotel
expecting these things to enter the home. One call to Spring
Branch Exterminators made the problem do away within 24 hours.
Fire Ants: Our back yard
in Sugarland became a war zone. My young son and dog were
constantly being attacked by fire ants. Everyone had to play
indoors. These little fire ant creatures are fearless and
extremely had to kill. We tried the Amdro and the mounds would
re-locate, but the problem remained. At one point we had over 40
mounds with billions of fire ants that would kill the frogs,
mice, and anything alive. There were time when they would
completely cover the garage floor to the point you could not
enter. They got into our kitchen and truck and all the drug
store ant spray did not affect the invasion. We finally got
smart and a neighbor recommended Spring Branch Exterminators and
by the end of the week the ants and their mound were all dead.
Thank you
Bee Problem: Our cable TV
company was kind enough to place a 4 ft tall x 2 ft cylindrical
metal box structure in our back yard to serve as a junction box
for the neighborhood cable TV and high speed internet.
Apparently the junction box was the perfect environment for a
bee hive. During the spring we had a massive bee hive within the
box. The swarms of bees would attack our family members every
time we ventured outdoor to mow the grass. This became a
nightmare during the summer even to the point the neighbors
could no use their outdoor swimming pool. We had already tries
the bug spray, and it appeared that bees are extremely had to
kill. Nothing worked. We think they were honey bees, but there
have been other aggressive types in the general area so we were
not going to take any chances. We contacted Spring Branch
Exterminators. After observing the hive with binoculars, and
noting they were also getting into our attic area, they arrived
with their special bee suits and got rid of the bees. They were
also kind enough to seal the junction box to prevent future
problems thank God.
Grubs: Our beautiful lawn
was turning from lush green to dead brown day by day. You could
pull the grass out by the hand full as the roots were eaten by
the grubs. Every morning we would loose another few feet of lawn
and our neighbor had the same problem. We had no idea at the
time why this was happening, and our deed restrictions are tough
and the threatening letters began to arrive from the home owners
association. Spring Branch Exterminators saved our lawn with a
quick spray off their service truck.
Fleas: During the summer
our front and back yard became infested with fleas and no-see-um
bugs. Everyone was itching, not just the dog. It got into our
carpets and beds causing the whole family to suffer. Even
military bug spray would only provide a few hours of relief.
Spring Branch Exterminators saved our home.
Spiders: Last summer we
had the home from hell. Spiders, and more spiders. We had spider
webs large enough to plug up our Dyson vacuum cleaner. It took
several days but John finally killed them off, no more spider
problems. |
